Guild Expectations vs. Solari Reality in Dune: Awakening

Hey fellow Sandwalkers,

Quick question for those of you in mid-to-large guilds in Dune: Awakening — how are you handling Solari requirements from your leadership? My guild just started pushing for more organized faction activity (raids, stronghold upgrades, regional influence), and now we’re getting nudged to contribute more Solari on a weekly basis.

I totally get it — faction dominance isn’t cheap — but not everyone in the guild has 20+ hours a week to grind spice or do contract loops. Some of us work, study, or have families, so keeping up with the Solari demands is becoming stressful.

A few members openly admitted they started buying Solari from U4GM to fill the gap. I was skeptical at first, but apparently it’s a common workaround now. They said it’s quick, and they haven’t had any problems. One guy literally went from borderline inactive to a key contributor overnight after using it.

I haven’t taken that step yet, but I’m not gonna lie — it’s tempting. I enjoy playing with my guild, but the grind is burning me out, and I don’t want to be “that guy” who gets benched during big ops because I’m under-geared or broke.

So I’m throwing this out there:

How does your guild handle Solari expectations?

Do they encourage outside help (like U4GM), or is that frowned upon?

Is there a more sustainable way to support guild growth without no-lifing the game?

Appreciate any feedback. I love this game, but I don’t want it to start feeling like a job.

See you in the dunes. 👣
